New Landmark District Session Devotional Message

Text: Proverbs 29:18

Subject:  “Casting & Catching”

The Proverb looks both to the lack of the Word

And the lack of hearing the Word.

Pastors Responsibility is to Cast the Vision!

The Peoples’ response is to catch the vision!

1. When the “vision” is not cast, or when

revelation is not realized.  The people “cast off

restraint”.  When Black Folk don’t have the Word

of God restraining us we will say anything,

do anything.

2. When the “revelation” is given, when the

Pastor is casting a vision in the Word, the

Response of the people is that they will Keep

The Word (law) and be blessed (happy)!

To Keep the law, or the Word means to be diligent.

Pastor Keep on casting the Vision!

God’s Word has much to offer…

Mercy to the miserable

Grace to the guilty

Freedom to the fugitive

Salvation to the sinner

Counsel to the confused

Victory to the victim

And it offers..
